Manufactured from 1979 to 1999 and marketed to law enforcement and foreign military clients, the AC-556 family of weapons is the Mini-14 .223 caliber rifle configured as a factory original selective fire machine gun. Fitted with a birdcage flash hider, blade and adjustable peep sights and standard receiver markings. The selector switch is positioned on the right rear of the receiver, with positions for semi-automatic, three round burst, and full automatic. Smooth hardwood stock, with vented synthetic upper cover, checkered synthetic pistol grip, and folding metal buttstock. Includes black nylon sling and fourteen extra magazines.
Excellent, retains 97% plus original blue finish with some light cycling wear. Stock is also excellent with a few light handling marks and defined edges. Oxidation present on some of the spare magazines. The 3-round burst position currently operates in full auto, otherwise mechanically functions. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
