Manufactured circa 1879 and later refurbished by Atkin, Grant and Lang. Blued steel barrels with single bead sight on the smooth rib which is marked "EDWARD LANG 89 WICMORE STREET LONDON", "SLEEVED" on the flats, 2006 dated London nitro proofs (likely when sleeved), choke constrictions of .010/.015 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with extractor. The casehardened sidelever backaction displays scroll engraving and features rebounding hammers and double triggers. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with leather wrapped recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 1 13/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 13 oz.

Very fine as professionally refurbished, retaining 99% blue and casehardened finishes, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the wood. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
