Manufactured in 1954 and subsequently beautifully embellished by the hand of Master Engraver Angelo Bee. Single steel bead sight on the matted solid rib, 2 inch wedges of floral engraving on either side of the upper breech, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes marked "**-"/"**" (improved cylinder/modified). The blued action displays three gorgeous gold inlaid game scenes depicting a trio of grouse in flight on the left bordered in gold, a trio of quail on the right in flight bordered in gold, and two quail on the underside. All of the scroll is surrounded by exceptionally well-executed floral scroll over a punchdot background. There is an additional single gold grouse on the triggerguard as well as more scrollwork on the tangs and toplever. The piece is signed "A.BEE" on both sides of the action by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. The gun features a single gold trigger and a tang mounted safety/selector with gold inlaid "O", "U", and "S". Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered French walnut forend with engraved fittings and a round knob pistol grip stock with Browning buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .612/.611 inches; choke constriction .007/.016 inches; minimum wall thickness .040/.041 inches; 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 7 oz.

Excellent as masterfully embellished by Angelo Bee, retaining 99% plus blue and gold finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
