Single brass bead sight on the matted concave solid rib which is marked "J. P. SAUER & SOHN SUHL GERMANY", 1951 dated German proofs, dual bands of engraving at either breech, choke constrictions of .022/.037 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened, sideclipped, scalloped action displays light scroll engraving with "J. P. SAUER & SOHN SUHL" in arches on either side. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fitting and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and serrated buttplate. Includes a leather bound takedown case with "J.H.P." initials on the lid, cleaning rod, and a pair of snap caps. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 10 oz.

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue and 99% original casehardened finishes with a few scratches on the right barrel. The forend has a small chip at the front right, otherwise the wood is fine with light handling evidence and mostly sharp checkering. The case is good with deteriorating interior. Mechanically excellent.
