Fitted with a rare Special Forces style EMC (Enhanced Match Carbine) upper, as sold by Knight's Armament (Knight's Manufacturing) commercially after a government buy back and assembled in this configuration as fitted to a commercial lower receiver. The upper features an integral flip up post front sight, peep rear sight mounted on the integral scope rail, quad rail forend, flash hider, dimpled barrel and E2 aluminum bolt with dual ejectors. Number "160" marked underneath the upper. Machined billet aluminum commercial lower receiver with ambidextrous selector switch, ambidextrous magazine release and bolt catch, and standard markings, and collapsible LMT buttstock. The SR-25 semi-automatic rifle platform was designed by Reed Knight and Eugene Stoner, using the Stoner direct impingement gas system like the AR-15/M16 family of rifles, only in 7.62 NATO like the early AR-10s. Introduced in 1990, the SR-25 serves as the basis for what was officially adopted as the U.S. Army M110 and U.S. Navy/U.S.M.C. Mk 11 Mod 0 sniper rifles. Includes a black plastic Knight's hard case with handwritten matching serial number to the lower.
Very fine, retaining 90% FDE finish (applied over black anodization) with scattered handling marks, high edge wear mostly concentrated on the rails, and a few minor scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
