Custom built on a Mauser style action fitted with a claw style quick detach scope rings holding a Leupold VX3 1.5-5x20 mm scope. Fitted with a beaded blade front and four leaf (three folding one standing) rear sight on the octagon barrel with solid rib marked "250-SAVAGE IMP" on the upper left barrel flat. Mounted in a wonderfully figured, sculpted, checkered walnut pistol grip stock with shadow line cheekpiece, Schnabel forend tip, blued steel grip cap with compartment, and checkered blued steel Neidner buttplate. Wells & Wells was a custom rifle shop run by the husband and wife duo of Fred and Rachael Wells. During his time as a gunsmith, Fred would gain an honorary membership to the American Custom Gunmaker's Guild, build rifles for the Baron of Bavaria, and create a gunsmithing program at Yavapai Community College.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with a few minor marks on the stock, and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent with clear optics and a crisp reticle.
