Patterned after a limited run of 926 Browning Model 1917 machine guns made for the Argentine Army, this copy of the Model 1928 uses a new-made inert right sideplate that lacks all internal support for the bolt and breech hardware. It features a distinctive right side thumb safety, the Type "A" cone flash hider, and a sight base for the Zeiss panoramic sight, with "COLT/M-1928(Argentinian crest)No 535/EJERCITO ARGENTINO" marked on the right rear of the receiver, and "COLT AUTOMATIC MACHINE GUN/MODEL 1928-CAL 7.65 mm/BROWNING PAT. FEB.4-1919" marked on the left rear of the receiver. Includes green tripod wearing a brass plaque on the rear leg numbered "470" with base numbered "482", anti-aircraft sights (do not properly fit the gun) with leather case, wooden ammunition box, combination wrench tool, loose charging handle and spring, leather sling handle attached to the water jacket, Colt belt loader, and Zeiss illuminator with leather case.

Very fine, retaining 85% of the parkerized finish with scattered light scratches and handling marks, and some scattered light pitting on the cone flash hider and rear sight ladder. The visible brass shows a fine aged patina. Wood grips are very good with scattered light scratches and dents, and a cleaned up cracked/absent section on the rear of the left grip panel. Absent barrel, bolt, and various internal components, which are not needed for display purposes and should not be added. The illuminator is untested, with damaged wiring. Included tripod is also very fine, retains 85% original green paint with some areas of light flaking.
