Manufactured in 1943 as a Officer's Model Target. This revolver features a replacement Officers Model Match barrel with a spray of oak leaf and acorn engraving at each end as well as a gold inlaid ring. The frame and cylinder are engraved with a matching motif, and the frame has been fitted with a King Gunsight Company replacement hammer and pearl grips. The engraver's initials "RD" are found on an acorn below the cylinder latch release. The consignor attributes the initials to engraver Rex Durante Anderson.
Very fine overall as embellished, retaining 99% plus refinished blue finish with limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
