Peters Cartridge Company calendar with an upper panel depicting a pack of beagles searching the country side for birds. Their master is likely nearby commanding the dogs in their hunt. The bottom left of the panel has the signature of artist Arnold G. Muss. The center of the bottom of the panel is the Peters Cartridge Company logo. Above "THE PETERS CARTRIDGE COMPANY/PIONEERS IN AMMUNITION OF QUALITY/CINCINNATI, U.S.A." with "NEW YORK/60-62 WARREN ST." on the left and "LOS ANGELES/1012 W.M. GARLAND BLDG." in a separate panel with dogs chasing rabbits outside the panel. Stapled to the bottom is a December 1927 calendar with November 1927 and January 1928 calendars on either side below two more Peterson Cartridge Company logos. Mounted in a wooden frame. Frame measures 19 1/2 inches x 31 1/4 inches. Provenance: The George F. Gamble Collection
Very fine with storage and handling marks, some small creases, and a small stain on the November portion of the calendar. Colors remain vibrant.
