Description:

Photograph of troop movements reading "20th inf + 1st cav- en route to camp- Summer, 1891" across the bottom. The 1st Cavalry and 20th Infantry were stationed together at Fort Assinniboine, Montana, at this time, and it is likely what is seen in the background. The back of the photograph is marked "C. E. LeMunyon/Great Northern Railway Photographer/13 Park Drive South/Great Falls, MONT." Below the photograph is an invitation to the Grand Military Ball being hosted by Company A of the 1st Calvary. The back of the frame has information on Fort Assinniboine. The frame measures 14x15 inches.

Rating Definition:

The photograph is very fine with some slight damage around the edges and some spots of discoloration. The frame is also very fine and has light marks.
