Manufactured in 1876, the standard Colt two-line address on top of the barrel, desirable "COLT NEW 32" etched panel on the left, and the patent date on the bottom. The left side of the frame is marked "32CAL C". There are very small British proofs on the bottom of the barrel and cylinder. The full serial number is on the left side of the grip frame and bottom of the barrel. It is fitted with a pair of spectacular smooth antique ivory grips. Very fine, retains 50% of the original blue finish and 85% plus of the vibrant original case colors with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina. The grips are excellent with a few very small hairline age cracks near the screw holes and otherwise only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
