Manufactured in 1876, the standard two-line Colt address on top of the rare 2 3/4 inch barrel and patent date on the bottom, both partially faint. The caliber marking "22CAL" is on the left of the frame. The serial number is on the butt and rear face of the cylinder is marked "0810". It is fitted with smooth rosewood grips. Includes a scarce factory box marked "COLT'S/New Seven Shot Revolver", a plain modern box labeled to match the gun, and an informational plaque. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection

Fine, retains 90% plus of the period replated nickel with some scattered light flaking, light handling marks, and some of the markings slightly softened. The grips are also fine with some light handling marks scattered throughout and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with extensive wear and staining and one short end of the lower half absent.
