Manufactured in 1873, the standard two-line Colt address flanked by Maltese crosses on top of the barrel and "32CAL" on the frame. The full serial number is marked on the left of the grip frame, left of the barrel, and faintly inside each grip in ink, while "196" is marked on the rear face of the cylinder. It is fitted with smooth rosewood grips. Includes a scarce factory box marked for "COLT'S/New Five Shot Revolver". Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection
Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original nickel finish with a few scattered patches of minor flaking revealing a mostly smooth grey patina. The grips are fine with some minor scuffing/chipping on the right panel and otherwise scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with extensive wear and some tape repairs.
