Exceptional Colt New Line .30 Etched Panel Pocket Revolver with Rare 1 3/4 Inch Barrel

Manufactured in 1875, the top of the barrel marked with the standard two-line Colt address flanked by Maltese crosses and the desirable "COLT NEW 30" etched panel on the left. The upper right rear of the frame has the caliber marking. The full serial number is on the butt, bottom of the barrel, rear face of the cylinder, and faintly inside the right grip. It is fitted with smooth rosewood grips. Includes a plain modern box with label matching the gun. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection

ConditionExcellent, retains 98% plus of the original nickel finish and 90% plus of the original nitre blue with a few patches of light flaking, mostly on the leading edge of the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and retaining almost all of the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
