Manufactured in 1886. The top of the barrel has the two-line Colt Hartford address, the left side of the barrel has the desirable etched panel marked "COLT NEW 41", and the bottom has the patent date. The back strap has the retailer inscription "F.T.Baker. 88. Fleet St. London". There are London proof marks on the underside of the barrel and each cylinder flute. The serial number is marked on the left side of the grip frame and bottom of the barrel. The left side of the frame is marked "41CAL C" for centerfire. It is fitted with a pair of smooth grips. Includes leatherette wrapped case with interior lining of the lid marked for F.T. Baker and five .41 CF cartridges.
Fine, retains 60% plus of the period, retailer applied nickel finish with some scattered minor flaking and a mostly well-defined etched panel. The grips are also fine with some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some mild handling/storage wear.
