Description:

The print measures 7 1/4 by 24 3/4 inches in a 21 5/8 by 38 inch wood frame. It has "3082. P. THE GATEWAY AND PIKES PEAK W.H.J. Co." marked at the bottom. William Henry Jackson (1843 – 1942) is noted by the National Park Service as the "preeminent photographer of the American West." They featured a similar image (possibly the same one just cropped in) and dated it to c. 1887. The back of the frame has a "BOOK & STATIONARY Co." of Topeka label. The name before "BOOK" is flaked off. The frame is open, not glazed.

Rating Definition:

Very good with distinct image and minor age and storage related wear.
