Assembly number "869" is marked on the cylinder front face and inside the loading gate. This revolver is pictured on page 84 of Don Wilkerson's "Colt Single-Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975", a copy is included, where it is cited as being shipped on December 10, 1957 and having thicker than normal grips.
