Description:

This interesting pistol has five barrels. The shorter barrels are numbered 1-4 at the breech. The longer barrel is not numbered and is fitted with a snap bayonet. The bayonet release runs along the right side and can only be used with the frizzen closed. The pan has five tiny vent holes. There is a sliding safety on top of the action that also locks the frizzen closed. The action has floral and burst engraving, "W. BARKER" on the right, and "LONDON" on the left. Deeply struck immitation London proof and view marks are on the bottom at the breech. The bag shaped grip is checkered. This one appears to be a later creation but would have made quite a defensive weapon. Many examples have all of the barrels firing at angles, but with one like this, you could take aim at the ringleader and hopefully have the other barrels pointing in the direction of their cronies.

Rating Definition:

Fine with silver-gray patina, some mild oxidation, and minor overall wear. The grip is also fine and has mild dings and scratches and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
