Description:

The Spanish used the miquelet lock from the 16th century into the 19th century. This pistol is from later in that period. The smoothbore barrel has decorative girdles at the transition point, three fleurs-de-lis on the upper flats at the breech, a maker's mark on top at the breech, and some light engraving on the tang. The lock and brass furniture also have floral engraving. The stock has raised relief carved floral patterns with bird heads incorporated in the designs flaking the upper tang. Rating Definition:

Very good with mostly brown patina on the iron, aged patina on the brass, a chip at the tail of the lock, crisp carving and engraving, mild scratches and dings, and moderate overall wear. Mechanically fine.
