Field & Parker were gunmakers and goldsmiths at 233 Holborn in London and became Parker Field & Sons. These pistols date to around the 1792-1794. The smoothbore barrels are swamped, have dovetailed blade front sights, gold inlaid band and vent liners, marked with "Field & Parker Holborn" in script on top, and are not proofed. The upper tangs have integral notch rear sights and floral engraving on tang. The locks have "Field & Parker" in script and light martial themed engraving. The triggers are plain. The iron trigger guards have floral and martial engraving. The silver wrist escutcheons are engraved with a crest that appears to be a palm tree with a saw around over a torse. The silver tendril pommel caps have star and floral engraving and satyr mask plugs. The case has a Riviere trade label, a brush, Bartram & Co. powder flask, a few lead balls, ball mold, and rod.

Very good with gray patina and light pitting on the iron components, bright gold, natural aged patina on the silver, distinct markings and engraving, and mild overall wear. The restored stock is good and has repairs visible, mainly on the forend, mild scrapes and dings, and a smooth coat of recent varnish. Mechanically fine. The relined case is fine and has moderate overall wear including a crack in the lid. The accessories are mostly fine or better and have age related wear.

Very good with mostly gray patina and mild oxidation/pitting on the iron components, bright gold, light aged patina on the silver, distinct markings and engraving patterns, and general mild wear. The refinished stock is also very good and has most of the glossy finish, a minor crack at the lock screw, general light scratches and dings, and a few dents. Mechanically fine.
