Manufactured between 1899-1911. This example features fine scroll pattern and border engraving with gold inlaid bordering. Blade front and notch rear sights with pop-up cocking indicator, with stacked matching numbers on the right side of the rear sight, slide and frame, Liege proofs in the same arrangement on the left, "FABRIQUE- NATIONALE-HERSTAL-LIEGE,(BROWNING'S-PATENT)" marked on the left of the slide, and an oval pistol and FN logo over "BREVETE-S.G.D.G." on the left of the frame. Very fine, retains 85% plus original blue finish with a few small patches of light pitting, a ding on the right rear edge of the frame, strong gold inlay, and crisp engraving. Grips are very fine with some light handling marks. Mechanically functions stiff, has a hang up when charging the slide.
