Fixed sights, with the chamber area dated "1940", and the Mauser "banner" logo on the front toggle link. The "eagle/L" police proof is stamped on the right side of the receiver, with the "eagle/N" commercial proofmark stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The sear safety spring is present over the side plate, and no cuts have been made for a magazine well safety. Overall finish is full blue, with a set of checkered grips. The magazine is unnumbered and the hold open numbered "00", otherwise parts are matching overall. Included with the lot is a brown leather holster marked "KernKlager&Cle/1938/Berlin" on the rear, an extra magazine (number removed, with an "eagle/L" proof still visible on the base), and an unmarked takedown tool. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection
Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the gripstraps, bright edge/high point wear, mild spotting and light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with some minor dings and stains on the crisp checkering, and the holster is very good with some minor scuffs and cracks, with two holes in the flap. Mechanically excellent.
