Manufactured after the end of World War I and before the outbreak of World War II, Simson & Co was for a time the sole supplier of new-made Luger pistols to the Weimar government. Fixed sights, with a blank chamber and the "SIMSON & CO. Suhl" address on the front toggle link. Overall proof markings are a combination of "eagle/6" and "WaA66" proofs and "Imperial Eagle" proofs. The small parts are finished in straw and niter blue, with a pair of checkered grips. Includes a brown leather flap holster (converted from Army style strap to Police style strap) marked "C.Friedr.Schulz/CHEMNITZ/1918" and "L.P.Th.Nr 5", on the front, with a takedown tool.

Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks. 40% of the original straw color is present on the small parts, the remainder a smooth gray. The grips are fine, with scattered mild dents and dings. The holster is very good and shows some scuffing and cracking. Mechanically excellent.
