Fixed blade and notch sights, one-line "P.38 1896c ac 45" marking on the left side of slide, and "eagle/359" acceptance marks on the right side of the slide and barrel and left side of the frame. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, slide, and frame with a matching partial number on the locking block. Phosphate finish visible on trigger, slide stop, safety and sear transfer bar. Ribbed bakelite grips and "P38/U" and "jvd" marked magazine. Includes an attractive light brown leather holster marked "Eagle over WaA77" and a "P38" inside a circle on the back, and an extra magazine. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection
Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, with areas of gray patina on the frame, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The grips are also excellent, with mild scratches, and the holster is very fine, with some stains, scuffs and cracks. Mechanically excellent.
