Manufactured circa 1935-1936 on contract for the government of Persia in both "P.08" and "Artillery" configurations, with 1,000 of each configuration delivered. Only a limited number of these Persian Lugers have been seen on the American market. Fixed sights, with the Persian Lion on the chamber, "crown/crown/U" and "crown" proofs, and straw finished small parts. "9mmP." is marked on the underside of the barrel. The original Eastern Arabic serial number (transliterated: 1133) is present on the receiver, barrel and frame, with the matching final 2 digits on multiple parts, minus the grips (left unnumbered, right marked "32"), hold-open (unnumbered) and replacement magazine (mixed). Fitted with a pair of checkered grips and a nickel finished alloy base magazine.
