Manufactured between 1944 and 1948. Ramped beaded blade front and flip up two leaf rear sights, "No. 1911 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK" marked barrel, standard Winchester markings on the receiver, Griffin & Howe side mounted scope base with J. Unertl Hawk scope, jeweled bolt and follower, and knurled bolt handle knob. The floor plate and trigger guard are finely engraved in the style of J. Fuggar with field scenes of deer with detailed backgrounds and borders of fine flowing scroll. Checkered pistol grip stock with horn forend cap, engraved blue steel grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and checkered steel buttplate.
