This very early Griffin & Howe features a ramped blade front sight and "No. 114 GRIFFIN & HOWE, INC. NEW YORK" marked on the top of the barrel. The action still shows its original Mauser marking on the left and has an added Lyman peep sight at the rear. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with horn tip and grip cap, raised cheekpiece, sling studs, and steel trapdoor buttplate which holds a cleaning kit and extra front sight blade.
