Manufactured in 1928 as one of only 1,258 completed in this configuration per page 406 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Price, Parker, and Cote. Blued Acme Steel barrels with dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard Parker barrel markings, 2 3/4 inch chamber with automatic ejector, and choke measured improved modified. The casehardened boxlock action features near full coverage floral scroll engraving with a solitary pigeon on the underside. Nicely figured, fancy multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch style release and pistol grip stock with checkered flats, hard rubber grip cap, and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 1 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. 2 oz.
Very fine, retaining 98% original blue finish, 80% darkened original case colors, light handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the refinished stock and forend. The ejector does not properly function, otherwise mechanically excellent.
