Description:

Introduced in 1935 by Charles J. Manville the "Manville Gun" was designed to fire flare, smoke, and riot gas shells from its 24 round clockwork drum. Mechanically, the Manville bears a strong resemblance to the later "Arnsel Striker/Street Sweeper" shotgun and modern less-than-lethal weapons like the Arwen, though not integrating a double action trigger. The two halves of the unit are held together with a pair of thumb screws, the barrel section marked "M 12 154" with a smooth pistol grip and the rear section having a checkered grip with "M" stamps and the Manville marking on top. A manual cocking mechanism is installed on the rear, and an internal spring-loaded sprocket provides power to the drum, with each chamber having its own firing pin.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with some mild spotting and wear overall. Mechanically in good order. NOTE: This item was not designed to fire live ammunition; modifying the launcher to do so, or modifying live ammo to fit the launcher, may result in the creation of a NFA "firearm".
