Description:

Manufactured in 1974, the included factory letter confirms the current configuration when the gun was originally sold to Ike's Gun Shop of Idaho Falls, ID, on October 11, 1976. Blued Special Steel barrels with a single steel bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard markings, chokes marked "**-"/"**" (improved cylinder/modified), and 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin gray finished action displays the standard Pigeon Grade full coverage floral scroll engraving surrounding scenes of pigeons in flight on the left and right as well as relief carved oak leaf and acorn designs carved at the fences. Gold washed single trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch with gold inlaid "O", "U", and "S". Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with Browning buttplate. Includes a Browning Naugahyde takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both measure .726 inches; choke constriction .011/.019 inches; minimum wall thickness .033/.032 inches; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 5/16 inches; length of pull 14 7/16 inches; weight 6 lbs 10 oz.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 98% original blue and coin finishes with minor handling evidence, a few slight blemishes in the blue on the barrels, and sharp checkering on the wood. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
