The included factory letter lists this pistol as having a 4 inch barrel chambered in .45 caliber with royal blue finish checkered wood grip and custom engraving which the remarks state was carried out by A.A. White (cartouche on right side of frame under the grip) when shipped to Weingartner Sport Shop in Lansdale, Pennsylvania on March 13, 1968. Only 25 of these sets were made compared to 7,400 of the standard and 75 of the deluxe sets. Provenance: The Bailey Brower, Jr. Collection, author of “Savage Pistols”
