Documented Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver

This revolver is pictured and described on page 103 of Don Wilkerson's "Colt Single-Action Revolver: Handbook 1955-1975", the caption states it was shipped to Tribes Hill, NY, on May 2, 1958. The chart on page 102 of the same book states that only 741 revolvers where built in this combination of finish, caliber, and barrel length. Standard markings and features other than the upgraded smooth grips. Matching serial numbers marked on the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap. Assembly number "878" marked on the loading gate and front cylinder face. Includes a copy of Wilkerson's aforementioned book. Provenance: The Don and Carol Wilkerson Collection

ConditionExcellent overall, retaining 97% plus original blue and 99% original casehardened finishes with some scattered minor handling evidence, some wear at the muzzle, and a slight cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent.
