This revolver is pictured and described on page 103 of Don Wilkerson's "Colt Single-Action Revolver: Handbook 1955-1975", the caption states it was shipped to Tribes Hill, NY, on May 2, 1958. The chart on page 102 of the same book states that only 741 revolvers where built in this combination of finish, caliber, and barrel length. Standard markings and features other than the upgraded smooth grips. Matching serial numbers marked on the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap.
