Manufactured in 1856 with a small triggerguard and brass cone front sight, "-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY-" on top of the barrel, "2" on the left side of the barrel lug, standard cylinder scene, "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame, "K" and "G" on the left side of the trigger guard, "8632" on the arbor pin (error), and matching serial numbers on the other metal components.
Very good plus with 80% original silver plating on the trigger guard, 30% original silver on the back strap, dark aged patina on the silver, aged patina on the brass, some case color patterns remaining on the frame, mostly gray patina on the balance, mild pitting, and general mild wear. The grip is also fine and has mild lower edge wear and mild scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
