Description:

The first is signed on the cover with to what appears to be "E Selton" and "Compliments Col Colt." The second is signed "Samuel Colt/New York University/August 1. 1843." inside the front cover and on the cover page.

Rating Definition:

Both are very good with fairly minor overall wear considering their age, including some light staining. The Charter Oak book's inscription is faint but legible. The National Song book inscriptions are nice and distinct.
