This 18th century French pistol is signed "ALLEVIN APARIS" on the locks and barrels and has smoothbore barrels, a blade front sight, dished rear sight on the standing breech, light scroll engraving behind the non-bridled pans, bright iron furniture, spire shaped trigger guard finial, and full-length stock.
Fine overall with mostly bright metal surfaces with some splashes of varnish and slight oxidation, repaired right cock, and generally minimal overall wear. The stock is also fine with an added coat of varnish, light scratches, a very slight repair at the upper tang, a few tiny dings, and minor edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
