Commercial military/militia style flintlock pistol from the late 18th century. The smoothbore barrel has London Gunmaker's Co. proofs and "LONDON" marked at the breech. The lock has "JOVER" marked at the center and no bridles. It has a flat dragoon style side plate with what appears to be "CIA" scratched on it.
Good with mottled gray and brown patina on the barrel, dark brown patina on the lock, old repairs to the lock, moderate oxidation and pitting, aged patina on the brass, and general moderate overall wear. The stock is good and has general scratches and dings, some filler at the pins, and a thin crack at the breech on the left. Mechanically fine.
