The rifle has a 20 inch tapered featherweight round barrel, cocking indicator, pinned beaded blade front sight, Lyman combination two leaf rear sight and tang mounted Lyman adjustable locking peep sight. Import marked on underside of barrel. Mounted on standard grade straight grip non-checkered, slight perch belly stock with Savage logo buttplate. Per the included Cody Firearms Records Office serial number confirmation the factory record for this rifle confirms the featherweight takedown configuration and .303 chambering as well as accepted on March 13, 1915, sold to Lewis Brother, Ltd, and shipped on Mary 1, 1915. Very fine, retaining 80% plus original blue finish with thinning to gray on the balance. 30% original blue remains on the lever. The re-oiled wood is also very fine with limited handling marks. There is a chip on the buttplate at the heel.
