Manufactured in 1896. The rifle is equipped with a Lyman beaded blade front sight, two leaf rear sight (replacement) and Lyman tang peep sight. The barrel has the two-line address legend and "30 W.C.F." on top and the two-line nickel steel marking on the left side. The oiled forearm and straight grip stock are uncheckered. The buttstock is fitted with a crescent buttplate.

Fine, retaining 70% plus original blue finish with thinning to brown and high edge wear on the balance. There is some smooth gray patina on the area ahead of the lever. 40% original nitre blue remains on the loading gate. Some darkened original case colors remain on the hammer, traces of original case colors remain on the lever and patterns of original case colors remain on the buttplate. The reoiled wood is very good showing some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
