Manufactured in 1902. The barrel has the two-line Hartford address and "COLT. D.A. 41" stamped on the left side. The left side of the frame has the three-line patent dates marking followed by a circled Rampant Colt. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. It is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colts at the tops. Includes a George Lawrence Co. leather "skeleton" holster that is also marked "10" above the maker's mark and "38/6" below it. The back is marked "RAY JOHNSTON/DEPT SHR/MONO CTY".
Exceptionally fine, retains 85% of the bright original high polish blue finish, 80% plus of the vibrant original case colors, and 90% of the bright original nitre blue, with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and a couple scattered small patches of light surface pitting. The grips are very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine overall.
