Manufactured in 1876 with the standard two-line address on top of the barrel, "COLT NEW 22" on the left in an etched panel, patent date on the bottom, and serial number on the butt. The top of the frame on either side of the sighting channel has been retailer engraved with "COGSWELL & HARRISON/226.STRAND.LONDON." There are London proofs on the barrel and cylinder. It has standard features. Includes a leatherette wrapped case with the interior of the lining of the lid retailer marked with the corresponding Cogswell & Harrison address and eight .22 RF cartridges.
Very fine, retains 85% of the original nickel finish with some scattered light flaking and edge wear revealing either a smooth grey patina or attractively aged brass. The grips are fine with some minor dings scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild handling/storage wear.
