The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 7 1/2 inch barrel chambered in .45 caliber with blue finish and wood stocks when shipped to Murta, Appleton Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 7, 1958. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap with partial serial number "700" marked on the right grip and front cylinder face. Assembly number 614 marked inside the loading gate. This revolver is pictured on page 15 of Don Wilkerson's "Colt Single Action Revolver Handbook 1955-1975", a copy is included, showing where the triggerguard and backstrap are serialized on second generation Single Action Army Revolvers. Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish and case colors with minimal handling marks and cylinder drag lines. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with repairs.
