This classic Model 1860 Army was manufactured in 1865 and features the iconic "late percussion vine scroll" factory engraving patterns. This is a lighter engraving style without beaded backgrounds and was popular in the late 1860s. The other markings and features are standard, including matching visible serial numbers and the factory "E" designation for engraving. The grip has a faint cartouche on each side.
Good with gray and brown patina, moderate oxidation, mild pitting, mostly distinct engraving, and general mild overall wear. The grip is fair and has a circular splice on the left, moderate lower edge wear including chipping at the heel and toe, and mild handling wear. Mechanically fine.
