Description:

Fixed sights, with the "1916" date on the chamber and "DWM" monogram on the toggle. Three "crown/letter" proofs on the extension, with the Imperial Eagle firing proof on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Fitted with straw finished small parts, niter blue pins and springs, "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" marked safety area and extractor, and checkered hardwood grips. Matching serial numbers are present overall, including inside the grips and on the magazine base, which has a "+" spare magazine mark. Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% plus original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, minor spotting and light handling marks. 80% of the original straw colors are present on the small parts, with strong niter blue on the seat spring. The grips are fine, with a chip absent near the safety switch and minor dings on the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
