Originally manufactured by IMI and imported by Action Arms as a semi-automatic carbine, and converted by Fleming Firearms to full automatic prior to the 1986 registration cutoff. For this conversion, the bolt restrictor block was removed from the receiver, permitting installation of a military pattern bolt with selective fire trigger group. The barrel restrictor ring is still installed, with a carbine-style barrel shortened to match the smg pattern. Adjustable post front and two-leaf peep rear sights, with the original markings present on the sides of the receiver and the Fleming address added to the underside ahead of the sear notches. The top cover is the commercial non-ratcheting pattern, with "A R S" (full/semi/safe) markings on the trigger housing, ribbed forearm and grip panels, and a folding steel stock. Included with the grouping are 13 extra magazines, canvas magazine pouch, a blue canvas UZI branded case, and extra parts including a hardwood military-pattern stock, Israeli-marked trigger group, two bolts (one full auto, one incomplete semi-auto), and loading tools.
Very fine as converted to full automatic, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing mild handling marks and edge wear overall. The furniture is in equal condition. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
