Description:

Manufactured in the U.S.A. using a combination of new-made components and military-surplus hardware (in particular a 1943 dated deactivated Canadian proofed Inglis receiver), this is a semi-automatic closed-bolt reproduction of the Commonwealth-standard BREN light machine gun. Blade front and folding peep rear sight, a conical flash hider, British proofed barrel, and along with the Historic Arms and "INGLIS/1943" markings on the right side of the receiver. During the rebuild process the "A" selector position was physically blocked, with only the "S" and "R" positions useable. A drum feed anti-aircraft magazine is currently installed, with the adaptor hardware in lieu of the top dust cover. Fitted with a folding steel bipod, smooth pistol grip and buttstock, and a steel buttplate. Includes a correct green painted tripod and wooden carry crate containing 3 30 round box magazines.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 99% plus phosphate finish with scattered dings and light scratches. Stock is very good with a repair at the receiver, scattered scratches and a chip at the heel. The drum magazine band is loose. Mechanically excellent. Crate is fine with storage and handling marks and some cracks in the wood. Tripod is very good with storage and handling marks as well as some spots of minor surface pitting.
