Manufactured in 1943, with the two-line, two-block address divided by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide, "G.H.D.", "P", and "K/VP" on the left side of the frame and the property/nomenclature markings on the right. British proofs are visible on the frame and slide. The pistol is fitted with blade front and flat-top rear sights, short milled trigger, wide checkered hammer, long grip safety, checkered slide stop and thumb safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, reinforced grips, full blue barrel marked ""COLT 45 AUTO" on the lower left and "P" on the lug, and a full blue "C-L" and "L" marked magazine. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to Springfield Armory on 22 June 1943.
Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original parkerized finish with some scattered light scuffs, scratches, and light edge wear. The grips are very fine with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
