Manufactured in the 1980s to be a faithful reproduction of the beloved Parker side by side shotgun, this example has standard floral scroll engraving with a dog on point on each side of the action and three pheasants in a field scene on the underside. The barrels have a single brass bead sight on the matte concave solid rib, cylinder/improved cylinder chokes, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrel flats are marked with standard German commercial proofs and "KRIEGHOFF/ULM". All Parker Reproduction 16 gauge barrels were manufactured by Krieghoff to fit the standard "0" 20 gauge frame. It has blue barrels, buttplate and trigger guard and casehardened remaining parts. It is mounted on a very nicely figured multi-point checkered English walnut forearm with engraved hardware and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, lightly engraved skeletonized buttplate, checkered bare butt, and gold initial oval. The extra 16 gauge barrel set measures 28 inches with 2 3/4 inch chambers, improved cylinder/modified chokes, and matching serial number. The set includes a leather bound Parker Reproductions takedown case with a set of 16 and 20 gauge snap caps, nickel oiler bottle, and key. 20 gauge barrel measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .616/.616 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .067/.067 inches. 16 gauge barrel measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .663/.665 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .0435/.0425 inches. Stock dimensions are: drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; 0 cast; 0 toe; length of pull 14 1/8 inches.
Near new in case with only minimal light handling marks overall. The wood is excellent with attractive grain and dark mineral lines. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent.
