German dagger with scabbard, hanger, and tassel. "Land Customs Dagger" Established by the Prussians in the 19th century as a tariff enforcement agency, the Zollgrenzschutz fell under SS control during the war, and performed their duties in both Germany and the occupied territories. The dagger is 14 5/8 inches long, with a 9 3/4 inch double edged blade. The grip and sheath both feature green leather wrapping and darkened alloy fittings, with a silver acorn knot on the hilt and a silver ribbon hanger on the sheath. Fine overall, with some shallow pitting and a slightly bent tip to the blade, mild scuffs on the leather, high point wear on the fittings, and minor handling marks overall.
