The included factory letter lists this rifle as having a 20 inch barrel chambered in .223 Remington with black anodized receiver, black oxide finished barrel, black composition nylon furniture, and furnished with and adjustable rear sight when shipped to Sloan's Sporting company in Ridgefield, Connecticut on June 30th, 1976. Also included is a State of Louisiana letter stating the rifle was used from 1976 until December of 2017 at Angola State Penitentiary. Inside the butt door is a plate marked "STATE OF LOUISIANA/676-12498" as well as having "676-12498" marked on the left side of the magazine well above the model markings. Includes nylon sling.
Very fine overall, retaining 90% original black finish with scattered scratches and scuffs from penitentiary use. Mechanically excellent. It's not often one gets the chance at a penitentiary owned SP-1 such as this!
