This is a wartime expedient version of the Inglis High Power pistol, lacking the tangent sight and without a slot for a shoulder stock. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the two line model and address markings on the slide, matching serial numbers marked on the right of the barrel, slide and frame as well as "crossed scepter" and "Canadian broad arrow" stamps on the frame. A Canadian seal consisting of a maple leaf surrounded by "CANADA" written in three languages is located on the front grip strap. Import marked on butt. Fitted with a magazine well safety and checkered grips. Includes a cut out page 54 out of the September/October 2009 issue of Guns & Ammo magazine "Questions & Answers" section, in which this pistol is pictured from a previous owner who states "I received this pistol from my father who was issued it in the 1950s when he was an officer with the Canadian Army and was going to be posted in Korea." Also includes a Canadian military holster dated "1945" underneath the flap, extra magazine, oiler, cleaning rod, lanyard, and three reproduction Canadian military pistol training manuals. Provenance: The Wayne Connor Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus, retains 99% original parkerized finish with some scattered light handling marks. The Canadian seal has some wear around the edges. Grips are also excellent with minimal handling evidence and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. If you want to own one example, here it is!
